Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Craig Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Zietsch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson comes to the cage accompanied by The High Road. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Craig Anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marc Zietsch! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zietsch tries to land a front kick but Anderson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. A slapping leg kick lands for Anderson.
A looping hook to the body misses from Zietsch. Anderson does a little dance to reset his feet. Zietsch uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Anderson. Zietsch shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Anderson is trying to defend but Zietsch finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Anderson is trying to maintain the position but Zietsch is very close to passing his half guard. Zietsch is keen to just control but Anderson is a slippery customer. Anderson tries to get to full guard but Zietsch has control of the leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zietsch seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Anderson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Zietsch is figuring out what he wants to do next. Anderson wants to get back to full guard. Zietsch tries to pass the half guard into mount. Anderson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Anderson is looking for a sweep. Zietsch is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anderson is working hard here to advance position. Zietsch looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Anderson gets full guard. Anderson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Zietsch must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Anderson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Anderson wants to sweep here but Zietsch controlling him for the moment. Zietsch looking to pass the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zietsch wants to control from the top but Anderson keeps moving. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Anderson is on top in guard.
Zietsch has his hands on Anderson's head, controlling the position. Anderson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Zietsch is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Anderson, into his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zietsch is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Anderson has his foot on Zietsch's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Zietsch works his way back into a safe position though. Anderson keeping moving, preventing Zietsch from controlling successfully. Zietsch stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Anderson swivels though and keeps the full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Anderson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

A close round but Marc Zietsch will probably get the nod. That's time! Anderson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Zietsch throws out a loose jab but Anderson uses good head movement to avoid it. Anderson blocks a jab. Anderson throws a sloppy head kick and Zietsch moves out of range easily. Anderson avoids a lazy jab quite easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zietsch tries to land a body kick and Anderson counters with a low kick, right behind Zietsch 's knee. Anderson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Zietsch defends it nicely. Zietsch keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zietsch gets a double leg takedown into Anderson's guard. Anderson keeping moving, preventing Zietsch from controlling successfully. Anderson wants to improve his position but instead Zietsch has moved into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Zietsch wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anderson keeps working. Anderson is trying to control but Zietsch manages to pass to mount!
Zietsch raining down shots from the mount! Anderson is trying desperately to improve position. Zietsch tries to control but Anderson wriggling away. Marc Zietsch has got the better of the ground game so far. Zietsch with shots to the head and body - Anderson looks very uncomfortable down there.

Zietsch content just to control the position here. Zietsch can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Anderson is looking to escape. Zietsch is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anderson is looking to get to half guard. Anderson slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Anderson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Zietsch pulls his head out easily. Zietsch is keen to just control but Anderson is a slippery customer. Zietsch controlling the pace. Anderson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Zietsch seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Anderson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Marc Zietsch showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Zietsch jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Zietsch shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Zietsch was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Zietsch tries to advance to mount but Anderson denies him. Zietsch working away. Zietsch wants to control but Anderson is keeping him busy. Anderson gets back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zietsch landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Zietsch is looking to take a break and control but Anderson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are battling for position here. Anderson manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Anderson wants to sweep here but Zietsch controlling him for the moment. Anderson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Zietsch throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Anderson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Anderson managing to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zietsch looking to sit in guard and control but Anderson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Zietsch pulls Anderson in to control the position. Zietsch has his foot on Anderson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Craig Anderson has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Zietsch darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
It looks like Craig Anderson has been cut. Zietsch takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

That's four minutes gone in the round. Anderson is looking to clinch. A big right from Zietsch misses. Anderson misses with an uppercut. Zietsch saw that one coming. Anderson moves out of range of the strikes. Anderson moves out of range as Zietsch strikes. Anderson throws a sloppy head kick and Zietsch moves out of range easily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Zietsch connects with a jab. Anderson fails with an attempt to clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Marc Zietsch comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Zietsch has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
