Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Clyde Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon lands with a good body shot.
Dixon tests Sonnen's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Sonnen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dixon.

and Sonnen counters with a single leg into guard. Dixon didn't expect that.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Dixon utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Sonnen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Sonnen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Charle Sonnen was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Dixon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sonnen slips under a jab from Dixon.
Nice uppercut lands for Dixon. That snapped Sonnen's head back.
Sonnen moves out of range of the strikes.
Sonnen misses with an uppercut.
Dixon takes a swing at Sonnen's ribcage but misses.
Sonnen looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Sonnen takes a shot right to the bread basket.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Dixon lands with a hook. Sonnen tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Dixon walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Sonnen drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Dixon swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Sonnen's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Clyde Dixon!
