Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Scooby Doo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Wickline (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Scooby Doo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Travis Wickline! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doo misses with a wild body shot. Doo takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Wickline smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. The fight stays on the outside here - Wickline looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Doo drives through with a takedown into guard. Doo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Wickline wants to sweep but no luck. Wickline is looking for a triangle but Doo pushes his legs off easily.
Doo showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wickline wants to get back to his feet but Doo is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Doo is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Doo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Wickline wants to sweep but no luck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wickline has his foot on Doo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Doo works his way back into a safe position though. Doo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Doo scoring with punches to the head and body. Doo is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Scooby Doo just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Doo. Wickline shoots and misses and Doo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Doo wants to pass to mount but Wickline is defending the position. Wickline throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wickline moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Doo showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Doo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Doo stands up over Wickline, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Doo stops Wickline from standing up. Wickline keeping moving, preventing Doo from controlling successfully. Wickline throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Doo passes easily into side control. Nice work. Wickline trying to remain calm as Doo controls from the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Doo is breathing heavily. Wickline tries to improve position but can't. Wickline misses with a strike from the bottom. Wickline is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Doo controls the position from side control. Wickline takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nice sprawl there from Wickline as Doo shoots in. Wickline tries to clinch but fails miserably and Doo counters by clinching up. Wickline letting Doo take a breather here. Wickline lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Wickline throws a head punch that misses. Doo misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Wickline.
Wickline has had enough of the clinch but Doo keeps him there for the moment. Doo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wickline works the jab nicely. Doo rushes Wickline and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Wickline working aggressively here.

Doo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Doo scores with a takedown into Wickline's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Doo is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Scooby Doo dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Wickline is looking to clinch. Doo fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Doo showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Wickline.
Doo drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Wickline swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Travis Wickline seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wickline shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Wickline clinches but Doo breaks the clinch and Doo holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Doo missing with knees to the body.
Wickline lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Doo backwards. Doo looking to stall.
Wickline breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Doo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wickline circles away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wickline shoots and misses and Doo counters with a three punch combo that has Wickline backing up. Wickline nods at Doo to acknowledge the strikes. Wickline misses with a takedown attempt and Doo counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Wickline! Scooby Doo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Travis Wickline.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wickline can't escape the position.
Wickline taking shots to the head. Doo controlling from mount. Doo raining down shots from the mount! Doo controlling the pace for now. Doo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Wickline for as long as he can get away with.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Wickline gets back to half guard. Wickline is looking for a sweep. Doo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Doo is looking to advance position but Wickline won't allow it. Scooby Doo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Doo sitting and controlling from the half guard. Wickline tries to get to full guard but Doo has control of the leg. Doo is figuring out what he wants to do next. Doo prevents Wickline from improving his position. Doo seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wickline moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Wickline tries to land a sweep but no joy. Doo showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Wickline can't keep his opponent in guard - Doo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Doo works his way into side control. Doo trying to control the position but Wickline is working away. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wickline is looking for a sweep. Wickline is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Doo happy to just control the position for now. Wickline taking a bit of punishment here - Doo scoring with strikes. Doo is staying tight to Wickline's torso, preventing him from escaping. Check out the look on Doo's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Wickline is looking to reverse the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Wickline. You can see the frustration on Doo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Wickline connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Doo some visible discomfort.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Scooby Doo dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Wickline throws a hook but Doo blocks it. Wickline throws a series of punches but Doo moves out of range. Doo rushes Wickline and presses him up against the cage. Doo jumps guard and drags Wickline to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Doo looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Wickline stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Doo swivels though and keeps the full guard. Doo wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Wickline stands up over Doo, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Doo pulls Wickline in close to prevent any damage. Doo keeping full guard, as Wickline tries to pass. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wickline wants to stand but Doo has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doo wants to sweep here but Wickline controlling him for the moment. Doo is trying to control the position but Wickline postures up. Wickline is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Doo pulls Wickline in to control the position.

That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Doo controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Doo trying to control but Wickline is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wickline manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Doo manages to get himself to full guard.

Doo closes the distance and clinches up with Wickline, looking for a takedown. Doo pushes Wickline against the cage but Wickline circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Wickline looks to clinch and Doo counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Wickline lands an uppercut. Doo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Doo circles away from the clinch attempt and Doo counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Wickline tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Doo slips a nice elbow through Wickline's hands, connecting with Wickline's forehead. Doo sitting and controlling from the half guard. Wickline is looking to improve his position.
Wickline regains full guard. Nicely done. Wickline trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Doo working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Wickline's head. Doo forces his way into half guard. Doo looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
And that's the end of the fight! Scooby Doo showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Doo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
