Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Franco Williams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bill Moss! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Steve Montenegro and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams tries to clinch but Moss is having none of it. Moss drives through and clinches with Williams against the cage.
Williams can't break the clinch.
Moss is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Williams gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Moss keeps control of Williams as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Moss keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Williams's efforts to push away. Williams is trying to break the clinch but Moss is controlling him. Moss tries a body shot but Williams blocks it.
Moss can't get the takedown.
Moss pulls guard effortlessly. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Moss is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Williams defends well. Williams loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Williams would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moss has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Williams missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Moss keeping moving, preventing Williams from controlling successfully. Moss controls Williams momentarily but Williams frees himself. Williams wants to control from the top but Moss keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Franco Williams. Williams rushes Moss and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Williams working hard to break the clinch. Williams wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Moss has him pressed against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moss is trying to break the clinch but Williams is controlling him. Williams tries to circle away but Moss has him pinned against the cage. Moss is looking to break free of the clinch but Williams has double underhooks. Moss misses with an elbow over the top. Williams has had enough of the clinch but Moss keeps him there for the moment. Moss gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Williams regains guard.
Moss really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Williams. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Moss throwing strikes from guard but Williams blocks nicely. Williams utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Moss pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Williams is keeping the position for now. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Williams is looking for a triangle but Moss pushes his legs off easily.
Williams seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Moss has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Williams is proving hard to escape from. Moss stands up and waves to Williams to follow him. A cross from Williams lands. Williams with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Moss is defended easily by Williams. Franco Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bill Moss. Moss fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Williams avoids it really well and circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Williams tries to close the distance and clinch up but Moss swats him away and circles back towards the center. Moss swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Williams counters with a thumping low kick. Williams lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Bill Moss has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Williams doesn't manage to clinch there - Moss circles away.
Moss swats away the attempt to clinch by Williams. Williams uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Moss. Moss shoots in but no luck this time. Moss looks winded! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Williams moves into the clinch successfully.
Williams breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Moss takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Franco Williams dominated that round. The cut man is working on Bill Moss's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Williams wants to get back to striking at distance but Moss won't allow it.

Williams is looking to break free of the clinch but Moss has double underhooks. Williams prevents Moss from breaking the clinch. Williams really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Moss lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Williams tries to land a knee to the head but Moss blocks with his arms.

Moss has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Moss wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Moss lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Moss drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Williams is trying to break the clinch but Moss is controlling him. Moss keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Williams's efforts to push away. A head punch blocked on the inside by Williams. Williams tries to circle away but Moss has him pinned against the cage. Williams can't break the clinch.

Bill Moss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Williams tries to clinch up. A combination from Moss does no damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moss shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Williams pinned against the cage. Williams gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Moss misses with the combination.
Moss is breathing heavily. Moss shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Williams is trying to defend but Moss finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Moss wants to get back to his feet.
Moss throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Moss lands a nice short elbow. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Moss wants to control but Williams is keeping him busy.

Williams looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Williams looking for submissions off his back. Williams wants to get back to his feet.
Williams wants to control the action here but instead Moss manages to pass to full mount! Williams squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Williams tries to hold on but Moss pushes him away. Moss lands a heavy elbow. Moss putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Williams is bucking up trying to escape but Moss cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Moss with a couple of short strikes. Moss fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Moss trying to control but he's not successful this time. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Williams tries to hold on but Moss pushes him away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Williams is wriggling around trying to escape.
Moss cracks Williams with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Moss throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Williams because Moss loaded up on that one. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bill Moss showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Bill Moss's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Williams gets caught napping as Moss dives in and scores a takedown. Williams manages to retain guard. Moss wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Moss accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Moss slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Williams. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Williams has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Moss is working away from the top position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moss landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Moss trying to mount his opponent but Williams defends it. Williams is staying active underneath Moss, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Williams flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Franco Williams just wasn't active enough. No luck with that takedown attempt from Moss. Williams wants to clinch up but Moss keeps it at a distance. Williams checks the leg kick nicely there.
Williams stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Williams wants it to stay on the feet. Williams moves in looking to clinch but Moss pushes him off. Williams misses with the combination.
Moss gets the takedown into side control. Bill Moss has got the better of the ground game so far. Moss takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sloppy strikes there by Moss. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Moss working the strikes but Williams uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Moss is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Williams is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Moss pulls his head out easily. Moss wants to free his trapped foot but Williams is holding on for dear life with his legs. Moss working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Williams has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Moss is working away from the top position though. Moss stops Williams from getting back to his feet.

Williams wants to get back to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Williams trying to control here.
And that's the end of the fight! Bill Moss comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Moss has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
