PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Benton Jung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taruvinga Marufu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marufu comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Public Annoucment kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marufu fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jung falls off balance throwing a combination
and Marufu counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jung thinking.

Jung clinches with his opponent.
Marufu tries to pull guard but Jung forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Jung breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jung cracks Marufu with an uppercut from hell and Marufu crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Jung's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Marufu has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jung can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Benton Jung.
