Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sid James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kain Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kain Velasquez told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez shoots in for a takedown but James shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Velasquez closes the distance and clinches up with James, looking for a takedown. Velasquez pushes James against the cage but James circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Velasquez stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from James.

Velasquez is nestled in close to James, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
