The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pereira throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Stanley sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Stanley tries to clinch up but Pereira circles away and keeps his distance.
A jab from Pereira misses.
Pereira looks to land a left hand but Stanley moved out of range nicely.
Pereira connects with a right hand. Stanley shakes it off.
Stanley is looking to clinch but Pereira is avoiding it.
Stanley uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pereira.
Stanley fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Stanley tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pereira sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stanley somewhat.
Stanley doesn't manage to clinch there - Pereira circles away.
Stanley moves out of range of the strikes.
Pereira scores with a hook.
Stanley looks to clinch
letting Pereira counter with a right hand.
Lucas Pereira is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Pereira misses with a looping right.
Stanley wants to clinch but Pereira slips to the side
and Pereira counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Stanley! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!

Lucas Pereira decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
