Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jake Dominick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dominick's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Rosa de Saron - Máquina do Tempo -. Jose Aldo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dominick connects with a jab.
Dominick throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Aldo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dominick is looking to escape.

Dominick loads up on a big right hand but Aldo slips the punch.
Aldo tries to bum rush Dominick with a series of wild strikes but Dominick uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dominick doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Aldo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Aldo is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Dominick's half guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Dominick misses with a looping left.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Dominick looks to land a right hand but Aldo moved out of range.

Aldo dives in and scores a takedown into Dominick's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Aldo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Dominick throws a hook to the side of Aldo's head but Aldo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Jake Dominick is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Aldo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dominick tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Aldo is in Dominick's guard.
Aldo with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Aldo is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Aldo wants to get up but he can't break Dominick's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Dominick bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Aldo's guard.
Dominick got a little sloppy there for a moment and Aldo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dominick has managed to get both his arms back between Aldo's legs - danger averted.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Dominick holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Dominick's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Aldo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jose Aldo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Aldo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dominick stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Aldo connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Dominick's hands.

Aldo goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dominick. Aldo does a little dance to reset his feet.
Aldo takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Dominick lands a two punch combo.
Dominick lands a slapping body shot.
Aldo gets a clinch.
Aldo blocks an uppercut.
Dominick swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Aldo is trying to drag Dominick to the mat but Dominick just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Jake Dominick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Aldo.

Aldo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Aldo throws a nice looking combination but Dominick bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Aldo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dominick.
Dominick lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Aldo has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Dominick misses with a wild body shot.
Aldo throws a nice head kick!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jose Aldo is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

The fight stays on the outside here - Aldo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jake Dominick.
I think Aldo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
