Leandro has chosen Can`t be touched as his entrance music. Carlos Leandro will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Leandro!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leandro closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Vita misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Leandro.
Vita with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Leandro to score with a decent uppercut.
Leandro scores with a nice head shot.
Leandro connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Vita's hands.

Leandro jabs Vita to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Leandro tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Vita manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Leandro fails with a takedown attempt.
Leandro shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vita as he avoids it easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Vita.
Leandro misses with a wild combination.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Leandro tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vita paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Leandro scores with a hook to the body. Vita takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Leandro lands a slapping body shot.
Leandro fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Vita looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Leandro scores with a jab to the body.
Jab, jab by Leandro - just one landing.
Leandro connects with a leg kick. Vita looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Vita drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
The crowd cheers as Leandro lands an impressive looking overhand right. Vita doesn't seem phased though.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Leandro scores with a hook to the body. Vita takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Vita shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Leandro defends it nicely.
Leandro misses with a two punch combination.
Vita has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Leandro finds it's way round the side to connect with Vita's head.
Leandro looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Joe Vita has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Leandro.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vita stuffs the takedown.
Leandro looks winded!
Leandro clinches up with Vita and pushes him back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Leandro tries to break free but Vita pushes him back against the cage.
Vita prevents Leandro from breaking the clinch.
Vita has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Leandro is trying to keep an underhook but Vita manages to get the takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Vita has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Vita looking to finish Leandro with some ground and pound. This is bad for Leandro!
Vita lands a nice shot to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vita cracks Leandro with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Vita working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Vita in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Leandro is rocked!
Oooooh, big shot lands for Vita! Leandro is hurt baaadly! Vita is firing away with more strikes - Leandro is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Vita!
An out of breath Joe Vita thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
