Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Don Cerrone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Skins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tony Skins is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Don Cerrone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 31 - 0, fighting out of London, Tony Skins!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Steven Brown and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cerrone has managed to clinch.
Skins tries to circle away but Cerrone has him pinned against the cage.

Cerrone ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cerrone no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Skins lands a couple of elbows.
Skins is fighting to break Cerrone's control of his arms but Cerrone is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Skins missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Skins seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Skins advances position into side control!
Skins throws a strike aimed at the side of Cerrone's head but Cerrone avoids it well.
Cerrone manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Cerrone is trying to get back to full guard.

Cerrone is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Cerrone tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Skins is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Skins wants to stand but Cerrone has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Cerrone not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Skins trying to control but Cerrone is working from the bottom.
Skins won't allow Cerrone to sweep him here.
Cerrone looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Skins tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cerrone swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Cerrone drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Cerrone wants to control from the top but Skins keeps moving.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Cerrone pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Skins is keeping the position for now.

Cerrone is looking to work some ground and pound but Skins has wrist control.
Cerrone tries to free his leg and advance position but Skins is retaining full guard.
Cerrone wants to control from the top but Skins keeps moving.
Cerrone with a flurry of punches that miss.
Cerrone passes Skins's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Cerrone seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Skins does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Skins makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Cerrone shoots and misses

and Skins counters with a takedown into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Skins misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Skins has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Skins shoots in and gets a takedown into Cerrone's guard.
Skins postures up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Cerrone is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Skins defends well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Don Cerrone will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Cerrone slaps away a takedown attempt from Skins, before circling back to the center of the mat.
No luck for Cerrone with that takedown attempt.
Skins throws a wild body kick that Cerrone sees coming a mile off.

Cerrone closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Skins to the mat! Skins manages to get full guard.
Cerrone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Skins swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cerrone is working hard here to advance position.

Skins working for a triangle but Cerrone defends it easily.

Skins utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Cerrone won't allow Skins to get back to his feet.
Cerrone keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Skins's head.
Skins keeping moving, preventing Cerrone from controlling successfully.

Skins looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Cerrone stays in close to Skins's body and controls the position.
Cerrone throws a big elbow that misses.
Skins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Skins preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Cerrone postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Cerrone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Skins swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Skins is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Cerrone frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Cerrone controlling from the full mount.
Cerrone prevents Skins from getting the reversal.
Skins is squirming around, avoiding Cerrone's attempts to control the action.
Skins is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Skins is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The referee warns Skins that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Skins tries to strike from the bottom but he's left himself exposed and Cerrone has taken his back.

Cerrone seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Skins's chin but Skins turns very nicely into Cerrone's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Skins.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cerrone is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Skins looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Cerrone is trying to get an arm triangle but Skins is defending well.
Skins tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Don Cerrone overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Skins is squirming around, avoiding Cerrone's attempts to control the action.
Skins tries to hold on but Cerrone pushes him away.

Cerrone swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Skins is now in Cerrone's guard. A big mistake from Cerrone there, giving up the dominant position!

Cerrone throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Skins would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Cerrone throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Skins escapes and throws Cerrone's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Skins wants to pass the guard but Cerrone is defending well.
