Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Keiji Kawada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dee Livah!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawada keeps the fight on the outside.

Livah takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Kawada wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Livah, who protects the arm well.
Kawada has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kawada works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Livah has closed the distance and engaged Kawada in a clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kawada manages to work his way to half guard, despite Livah's best efforts.
Livah really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kawada. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Kawada holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Livah is pushing Kawada up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kawada breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kawada tries to clinch there but Livah circles away.

Livah leaves Kawada with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Kawada shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Livah sprawls well. Livah wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kawada gets slowly back to his feet.
Kawada shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Livah eats them both and turns towards Kawada to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Kawada won't allow Livah to get back to his feet.
Kawada keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Livah's head.
Livah wants to stand but Kawada is controlling the position.

Kawada decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Kawada dodges the punch combination from Livah.
Kawada tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Livah manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Livah avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Livah throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kawada on the side of the head.

and Kawada counters with a one-two to the body.
Dee Livah seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Kawada throws the kick towards the body but Livah avoids it.
Kawada moves in looking to clinch but Livah pushes him off.

Livah throws a series of punches but Kawada moves out of range.
Livah takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Kawada looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Livah with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Kawada has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Livah defend it? Kawada steps over the head and cranks it - Livah is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Kawada!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Keiji Kawada!
