The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevenson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Master is trying to defend but Stevenson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Master wants to control but Stevenson is keeping busy.
Stevenson blocks the strikes from Master.
Master looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Master wants to improve his position but Stevenson is controlling well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
