Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Martin Falichov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, AkoSii MangJose!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MangJose lands a slapping body shot.

MangJose looking to score a takedown here. Falichov is defending well but MangJose drives through and ends up in Falichov's guard.
MangJose trying to control but Falichov is working from the bottom.
Falichov will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Falichov looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
MangJose postures up.
Falichov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. MangJose connects with a nice short shot to Falichov's temple.

MangJose tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Falichov.
Falichov gets full guard.
Falichov is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
MangJose passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Falichov is trying to control MangJose's posture but MangJose avoids it.
Falichov is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

MangJose tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
MangJose trying to control the position but Falichov is working away.

MangJose slows the pace down.
MangJose lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
MangJose sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Falichov is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
MangJose tries to stand but Falichov controls the position and pulls MangJose into his guard.
Falichov is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst MangJose is controlling him.

Falichov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. MangJose defends it easily.
MangJose must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Falichov wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and MangJose is now in half guard.

MangJose tries to stand but can't do so whilst Falichov controls his leg.
MangJose really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Falichov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Falichov manages to get to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but AkoSii MangJose will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



MangJose moves into the clinch.

MangJose breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Falichov leaves MangJose with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
MangJose shoots in for a takedown but Falichov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
MangJose throws a head kick but Falichov moves out of range.

Falichov tries to keep at a distance but MangJose has taken the fight into the clinch.

MangJose's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and MangJose counters with a single leg into guard. Falichov didn't expect that.

MangJose is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

MangJose got a little sloppy there for a moment and Falichov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, MangJose has managed to get both his arms back between Falichov's legs - danger averted.

Falichov is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Falichov has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Falichov controls MangJose momentarily but MangJose frees himself.

OK we're going to have a standup here. AkoSii MangJose hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Falichov throws a left and a right that both miss
and Falichov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

MangJose clinches with his opponent.
MangJose is stalling here.
Falichov jumps guard but MangJose stands there with Falichov around his waist. Falichov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

MangJose lands a nice elbow.

MangJose gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Falichov regains guard.

Falichov has his feet on MangJose's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
MangJose shoots in for a takedown but Falichov shows good takedown defense.
Martin Falichov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of AkoSii MangJose.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Falichov gets underhooks to prevent MangJose's takedown attempt.
MangJose is breathing heavily.
MangJose digs a right hand into Falichov's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Falichov's gas tank.

MangJose escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
MangJose fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Falichov throws a head kick that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

AkoSii MangJose showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


MangJose throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
MangJose uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Falichov.
Martin Falichov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Falichov checks a leg kick.

Falichov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Falichov wants to lay and pray for a moment but MangJose keeps working.
Falichov moves nicely into side control.
MangJose tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Falichov presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if MangJose can do anything to dispel that myth.
MangJose bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Falichov is looking to stand up but MangJose isn't so interested in that idea.
Falichov seems keen to control MangJose's posture.
Falichov looking to hit a scissor sweep but MangJose is one step ahead there.
Falichov is trying to control the position from the bottom.

MangJose pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Falichov is keeping the position for now.
Falichov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Martin Falichov just wasn't active enough.
Falichov is trying hard to land a takedown here. MangJose sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Falichov is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Falichov is trying to stand.
Falichov tries to roll over but MangJose keeps him under control.
MangJose uses his free foot to push down on Falichov's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Falichov.
Falichov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
MangJose wants to get back to his feet but Falichov is holding on tight.
MangJose can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Falichov is looking to escape.

MangJose lands a big elbow.
Falichov is looking to get to half guard.
Martin Falichov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Falichov sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Falichov flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
