Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Charles Bartowski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bob Koff!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koff walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Bartowski checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bartowski.
Bartowski fails with a takedown attempt.
Koff shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Bartowski has his takedown stuffed
so Koff counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charles Bartowski. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Koff passes Bartowski's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Koff stalling.
Koff prevents Bartowski from standing back up.

Koff uses his free foot to push down on Bartowski's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bartowski.
Koff controlling the pace for now.
Koff landing punches.
Koff is landing with some decent strikes but Bartowski is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Koff is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Koff extends the arm and Bartowski is forced to tap!
