Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fairm Taite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Jenkins steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Taite.
Jenkins throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jenkins tries to clinch there but Taite circles away.
Horrible takedown by Taite or perhaps it was just good defense by Jenkins which made him look bad.
A right-left combo lands from Jenkins.
Taite looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Jenkins swinging wildly here.

Taite shoots in for a double leg but Jenkins sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Jenkins gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Taite to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Taite stays in close to Jenkins's body and controls the position.

Taite scoring with punches to the head and body.
Taite slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Taite's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

We're going to have a standup here because Fairm Taite wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Taite shoots for a double leg takedown but Jenkins sprawls well. He's pushed Taite's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Taite wants to pass the guard but Jenkins is keeping the position.

Taite slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Taite throws a big right hand that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jenkins wobbles Taite with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Jenkins dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Taite to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
