Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marty McMillan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Mcnally (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McMillan's entrance music is Windir - Todeswalzer. A fine choice. Jim Mcnally acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marty McMillan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Mcnally!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Reed Andrews and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcnally looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Mcnally gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Mcnally dodges the punch combination from McMillan.

Mcnally changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McMillan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
McMillan is breathing heavily.

Mcnally decides to stand back up. Mcnally steps back and let's McMillan get back to his feet.
Mcnally plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!


It looks like Marty McMillan has been cut.
McMillan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Mcnally counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mcnally wants to control from the top but McMillan keeps moving.
McMillan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mcnally controls the pace.
Mcnally loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McMillan keeping full guard, as Mcnally tries to pass.
McMillan is looking to stand up but Mcnally isn't so interested in that idea.
Mcnally slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Mcnally throws a strike but McMillan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McMillan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Mcnally looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Mcnally trying to keep a closed guard but McMillan is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Mcnally throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Mcnally managing to control the position.

McMillan preventing the sweep.
Mcnally lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for McMillan!

Mcnally jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but McMillan manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Mcnally controls the position from side control.

Mcnally lands an elbow.
McMillan is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Mcnally is controlling him well.
Mcnally is putting a hurting on McMillan here, landing some big shots from side control.
McMillan is not content to let Mcnally control the position.

Mcnally tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Mcnally scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Mcnally trying to control from McMillan's half guard. McMillan has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Mcnally would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Mcnally throws a strike but McMillan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
McMillan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Mcnally is trying to hold McMillan in close to prevent damage but McMillan has managed to pass into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
McMillan seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Jim Mcnally has got the better of the ground game so far.
Mcnally flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Mcnally is controlling McMillan's trapped leg to prevent McMillan from advancing to side control.
Mcnally trying to hold on to McMillan's head to control him but McMillan postures up.
Mcnally is doing well to control the position and prevent McMillan from advancing to side control.
Let's hope that Mcnally has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jim Mcnally just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
McMillan throws a sloppy head kick and Mcnally moves out of range easily.
McMillan has his takedown stuffed

and Mcnally counters with a nice double leg into side control. McMillan won't be happy with that.
McMillan is being controlled here.
Mcnally wants to lay and pray for a moment but McMillan keeps working.
McMillan dodges the ground and pound from Mcnally.
McMillan is trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mcnally is working McMillan over with some ground and pound from side control.

McMillan gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Mcnally looking to finish McMillan with some ground and pound. This is bad for McMillan!

Mcnally landing strikes, looking to finish!
McMillan is looking to improve his position but Mcnally isn't that keen on the idea.
A nice elbow there by Mcnally.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mcnally is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. McMillan can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Mcnally looking to control but McMillan is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Mcnally goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now McMillan is on top in guard.
Mcnally wants to control but McMillan passes easily into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Mcnally manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jim Mcnally showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Mcnally has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Mcnally has an Americana. McMillan didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Mcnally is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Mcnally hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
