Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dustin Hayz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikey Rison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hayz comes to the cage accompanied by Hollywood Undead - Dead in Ditches. Rison has chosen I see the bad moon rising as his entrance music. Dustin Hayz is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dustin Hayz! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mikey Rison! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rison doesn't manage to clinch there - Hayz circles away.
Rison thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Hayz if he has to take too many more of those.
Rison lands a nice looking kick to the body. Hayz takes a step back to recover. Rison throws a series of punches but Hayz moves out of range. Hayz fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hayz throws a series of punches but Rison moves out of range. Hayz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rison doesn't manage to clinch there - Hayz circles away.
Good leg kick by Rison there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Rison tries to clinch up but Hayz circles away and keeps his distance. Rison throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Hayz looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Rison! Rison tries to buck Hayz off but he can't manage it. Hayz moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Rison has worked his arm free - good work by Rison!

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hayz tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Hayz is breathing heavily. Rison wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Rison wants to clinch. Rison gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Rison using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hayz has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayz has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rison is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Rison landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Hayz gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Rison regains guard.
Rison keeping moving, preventing Hayz from controlling successfully. Rison being controlled here, momentarily. Rison wants to stand up but Hayz is controlling him. Rison really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hayz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hayz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rison swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hayz throwing strikes but missing. Hayz looking to pass the guard. Hayz wants to control from the top but Rison keeps moving.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Rison wants to clinch. Mikey Rison is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rison swinging wilding here.
Rison gets a clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mikey Rison dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Rison takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Hayz drives through with a takedown into guard. Hayz controls from within his opponent's guard. Hayz lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Hayz drops back looking for a leg! Rison is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rison manages to kick Hayz off! Hayz jumps back into Rison's guard. Hayz missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rison is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hayz trying to control the position from guard on top but Rison is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hayz postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Hayz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rison is keeping the position for now. Hayz passes easily into side control. Nice work. Hayz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rison is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Rison wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rison is not content to let Hayz control the position. Hayz working the head and body with strikes. Hayz moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Hayz misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayz trying to control the action but Rison is working from the bottom. Rison is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Hayz asserts his dominance and retains side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hayz working the ground and pound from side control. Hayz taking a breather here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Hayz moves into full mount! Hayz working Rison over with strikes here. Hayz lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Rison hang on? Hayz is landing with some decent strikes but Rison is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hayz sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Hayz's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hayz thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Hayz trying to control but Rison is working from the bottom. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Rison somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet! Rison tries to clinch up but Hayz circles away and keeps his distance. Mikey Rison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rison throws a nice outside leg kick. Rison wants to clinch up but Hayz keeps it at a distance. Rison lands a front kick. Rison connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Dustin Hayz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hayz moves out of range as Rison throws a body kick.
Hayz looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hayz is looking to take a break and control but Rison is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayz works his foot free and advances to mount. Rison is trying to stand up. Hayz trying to control but he's not successful this time. Hayz has hold of Rison's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rison manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Hayz swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Rison is now in Hayz's guard. A big mistake from Hayz there, giving up the dominant position! Rison wants to stand but Hayz is controlling his posture from full guard. Hayz managing to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dustin Hayz clearly takes that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Rison clinches up against the cage. Rison throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hayzs head. Rison with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Rison has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hayz is proving hard to escape from. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rison preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rison wants to stand but Hayz has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Hayz is pulling down on Rison's head. It's preventing any offense from Rison, at least for the moment. Hayz has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Rison avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Rison wanted to stand there but Hayz had control of the position. Hayz seems keen to control Rison's posture. Hayz isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rison stacks Hayz on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rison! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rison tries to stand but Hayz is controlling his head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dustin Hayz had his way with Mikey Rison in that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Nice body kick there by Rison. Rison clinches. Rison lands an elbow inside that Hayz shrugs off. Rison tries to land a knee to the head but Hayz blocks with his arms.

Rison crunches a lovely knee into Hayz's ribcage. Hayz tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rison smiles and moves away.

Rison tries to clinch but Hayz is having none of it. Hayz clinches. Rison lands an elbow inside that Hayz shrugs off. Hayz avoiding damage as Rison throws knees to the body.
Rison misses with a knee to the head. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Hayz drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Rison. Hayz is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Hayz avoiding damage as Rison throws knees to the body.

Hayz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rison doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hayz. Rison is looking to escape. Rison has hold of Hayz's hands but Hayz slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hayz is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Hayz is trying to control the action in half guard but Rison is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Hayz seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Hayz passes to side control. Hayz in side control, just content to control the action for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayz has hold of Rison's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Rison tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Hayz cranks the arm and Rison screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Rison, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 5, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Dustin Hayz! Dustin Hayz retains his lightweight title!
