Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Bova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rasputin has chosen TURISAS - Rasputin as his entrance music. Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Anthony Bova's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
15 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anthony Bova!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
25 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rasputin's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bova connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Rasputin scrambles back to his feet.
It looks like Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin has been cut.
Rasputin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Rasputin is looking to clinch but Bova is avoiding it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
No joy there for Bova, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rasputin chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bova can pounce on him.
Rasputin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bova tries to avoid it but Rasputin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bova to the ground. Bova escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rasputin misses with a two punch combination.
Bova tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rasputin swivels and escapes.
Bova swats away the attempt to clinch by Rasputin.
Bova gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Rasputin misses with the head strike.
Bova is trying to break free.
Rasputin keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bova's efforts to push away.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bova breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rasputin is defended easily by Bova.
Rasputin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bova swivels and escapes.
Anthony Bova has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin.
Rasputin gets a clinch.
Bova has had enough of the clinch but Rasputin keeps him there for the moment.
Bova can't find room to land a body shot as Rasputin controls the action.
Rasputin wants to get back to striking at distance but Bova won't allow it.
Rasputin wants to break the clinch but can't.

Bova is looking to take this one to the mat.
Bova is pressed up against the cage. Rasputin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bova down to the mat. Bova avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Rasputin looks for a takedown but Bova sprawls well.
Rasputin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bova misses with a low kick.

Bova tries a low kick but Rasputin avoids it.
Bova will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Rasputin counters with a left and a right that stings Bova.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rasputin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Rasputin has Bova up against the cage in a clinch.
Bova breaks from the clinch.
Rasputin walks into a left hand.
Rasputin drops Bova with a beautiful combination! Bova stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Rasputin is looking for the KO!
Bova is rocked!
It looks like Anthony Bova has been cut.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rasputin wants to clinch.
Bova swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Bova throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bova misses with a takedown attempt - Rasputin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Rasputin lands a left and a right that send Bova crashing to the mat, dazed. Rasputin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Oh Bova is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bova tries to clinch but Rasputin moves out of range.
Bova seems to have got his legs back now.
Nice takedown defense from Bova. No joy for Rasputin on that attempt.
Bova throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rasputin was covering up waiting for the punch and Bova finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bova avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Rasputin looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Bova passes into half guard.
Bova wants to take a breather but Rasputin is having none of it.
Bova is really struggling to control Rasputin but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Rasputin makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rasputin.
Bova wants to control from the top but Rasputin keeps moving.
Bova won't allow Rasputin to sweep him here.

Bova postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rasputin keeping moving, preventing Bova from controlling successfully.
Rasputin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bova can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Bova is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Bova trying to control the position from guard on top but Rasputin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rasputin has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bova is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Rasputin.
You can see the frustration on Rasputin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Rasputin is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Bova is staying active.
Bova misses with the ground and pound.
Bova lands an elbow.
Bova is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rasputin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rasputin is wriggling around trying to escape.
Bova stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Rasputin misses with an uppercut. Bova saw that one coming.
Bova avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rasputin gets caught napping as Bova dives in and scores a takedown. Rasputin manages to retain guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rasputin isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bova stacks Rasputin on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bova!

That was a close second round but I would say that Anthony Bova will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Bova shoots in and bounces Rasputin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Rasputin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bova is aware though and is defending well.

Rasputin is looking to sweep but instead, Bova has passed into half guard.
Bova is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Rasputin is hurt! He's hurt bad - Bova fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Rasputin from any more punishment! Congratulations to Bova! Great finish!
