Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Saunders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felix Sandoval (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saunders comes into the arena with Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff blaring out of the sound system. Sandoval has chosen Overseer - Slayed as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Saunders! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Felix Sandoval! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Kavanagh and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saunders throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Sandoval shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Saunders as he avoids it easily. Sandoval takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

A slow jab from Saunders misses its intended target. Felix Sandoval seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Saunders connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Saunders misses with a body punch
and Sandoval counters with a stiff right hand. Saunders walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Sandoval wants to clinch. Sandoval gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Saunders. Sandoval rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Saunders moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Saunders throws a leg kick but Sandoval checks it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sandoval scores with a nice head shot.

Sandoval moves forwards but Saunders connects with a nice, crisp jab. Sandoval thumps Saunders with a low kick. Sandoval throws a head kick but Saunders moves out of range.

Sandoval throws a head kick that misses. That kick from Sandoval tenderised Saunders's leg. Saunders is trying to keep his angry face on. Saunders misses with a wild body shot. Sandoval throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Saunders was covering up waiting for the punch and Sandoval finishes the takedown easily into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Saunders pulls Sandoval in close to his closed guard and prevents Sandoval from doing any damage or advancing position. Saunders wants to sweep here but Sandoval controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sandoval stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Saunders swivels though and keeps the full guard. Saunders is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Sandoval trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Saunders trying to control the position.
Saunders preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Saunders wants to sweep here but Sandoval controlling him for the moment. Sandoval missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Sandoval working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Saunders is trying to control the position but Sandoval postures up. Sandoval with a flurry of punches that miss. Sandoval throwing strikes from guard but Saunders blocks nicely. Sandoval wants to control from the top but Saunders keeps moving. Saunders is trying to keep Sandoval in close.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Joe Saunders. Sandoval fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Saunders misses with a wild body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Saunders connects with a right hand. Sandoval shakes it off. Saunders misses with a hook. Sandoval swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Saunders. Sandoval slips a jab from Saunders. A momentary lapse in concentration from Saunders enables Sandoval to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Saunders manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Saunders is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Saunders missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Saunders working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Saunders throwing shots but Sandoval is blocking nicely. Sandoval trying to hold on to Saunders's head to control him but Saunders postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Saunders sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Sandoval defending well though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Joe Saunders will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Saunders looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Sandoval tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Saunders swivels and escapes. Sandoval throws a body kick that misses. Saunders looks to land a left hand but Sandoval moved out of range nicely. Saunders scores with a nice strike. Sandoval throws a leg kick but Saunders moved away. Sandoval shoots in for a double leg but Saunders sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Saunders takes one on the button. Sandoval fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Saunders avoids it really well and circles away. Joe Saunders has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felix Sandoval. Sandoval pushes Saunders away with a front kick. Sandoval bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sandoval working the body and head with strikes. Saunders struggling a bit here. Sandoval throwing shots but missing, from side control. Sandoval trying to control the position but Saunders is working away. Sandoval has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Saunders is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Sandoval yanks on the arm and Saunders is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Sandoval.
