Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ya Bawbag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Howie Thacker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thacker fails to land with a series of punches.
Thacker will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Thacker is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Thacker rushes Bawbag and presses him up against the cage.
Bawbag is looking to take this one to the mat.
Bawbag wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Thacker manages to break the clinch.

Thacker shoots in looking for a takedown. Bawbag tries to sprawl out of it but Thacker keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bawbag manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Bawbag shoots for a double leg takedown but Thacker sprawls well. He's pushed Bawbag's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bawbag throws a right and a left that Thacker avoids nicely.

and Thacker counters with a three punch combo that has Bawbag backing up. Bawbag nods at Thacker to acknowledge the strikes.

Bawbag feints and as Thacker raises his hands in defense, Bawbag changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bawbag is breathing heavily.
Thacker has his foot on Bawbag's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bawbag works his way back into a safe position though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Bawbag is trying to drag Thacker to the mat but Thacker just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Bawbag has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Thacker is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
A nice right hand lands inside from Thacker.
Thacker will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Bawbag up against the cage.

Bawbag tries to bum rush Thacker with a series of wild strikes but Thacker uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

letting Thacker counter with a right hand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Thacker shoots in for a takedown but Bawbag shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Thacker shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bawbag sprawls well. Bawbag wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Thacker gets slowly back to his feet.

Bawbag is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Thacker's half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Bawbag is pushing Thacker's head away, looking to escape. Thacker manages to hold on to the position though.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bawbag accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Thacker wants to control the pace but Bawbag is squirming around nicely.
Thacker throwing strikes here but Bawbag is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Ya Bawbag has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Thacker can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bawbag is looking to escape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Thacker is landing with some decent strikes but Bawbag is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
And that's the end of the fight!
Howie Thacker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Thacker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
