Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Totoy Bayag!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bayag stuffs the takedown.
Edwards fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Edwards shoots in looking for a takedown but Bayag manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Edwards's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Evan Edwards. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Edwards fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bayag avoids it really well and circles away.
Edwards shoots in for a takedown but Bayag shows good takedown defense.

Bayag gets caught flat footed, as Edwards shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Edwards is in close to Bayag's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Edwards is working Bayag over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Edwards prevents Bayag from getting back to his feet.

Edwards stops Bayag from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bayag is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Edwards chips away with some ground and pound.
Bayag manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Edwards manages to get himself to full guard.

Bayag gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Bayag shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Edwards sprawls well. Edwards wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bayag gets slowly back to his feet.
Bayag tries to clinch up but Edwards circles away and keeps his distance.
Edwards misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Edwards shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bayag as he jumps to the side.

Edwards fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bayag to the ground. Edwards is now in Bayag's guard.
Edwards distracts Bayag with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Edwards is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Edwards stands up over Bayag, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Edwards is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Bayag has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Edwards has passed into side control.
Bayag takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Bayag tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Edwards wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Bayag takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Edwards in side control lands a decent elbow.
Bayag is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Edwards seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Bayag pushes Edwards off looking to stand but Edwards dives back in and keeps control.
Bayag throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Edwards manages to pass to side control.
Bayag takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bayag is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Edwards lands an elbow.

Bayag is rocked!
Edwards lands a nice forearm strike.
Bayag is still in real trouble! Can Edwards finish him?
A big shot lands for Edwards! That's hurt Bayag! Will he recover? Edwards fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
