The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yongco fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Starseed manages to avoid it.
Yongco closes this distance looking for a takedown but Starseed circles away.
Yongco should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Yongco drives through with a takedown into Starseed's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Yongco passes Starseed's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Starseed makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Starseed.
Starseed being controlled here, momentarily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Starseed has his foot on Yongco's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Yongco works his way back into a safe position though.
Starseed looking for a sweep. Not yet Starseed, not yet.
Starseed is trying to control the position but Yongco postures up.
Starseed keeping moving, preventing Yongco from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Yongco is looking to take a break and control but Starseed is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Starseed moves into full guard.

Starseed is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Yongco is aware though and is defending well.
Yongco content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Yongco is sitting in close to Starseed's body. Starseed has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Yongco is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Yongco is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Starseed.
