Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Roger Papermouth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shogun Rua!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Papermouth connects with a body shot that sends Rua's belly button to the back.
Papermouth throws a combination. Rua tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Papermouth connects with a good right hand that stumbles Rua. Rua circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Rua dodges the punch combination from Papermouth.
Papermouth walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Rua checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Papermouth scores with a sloppy right hand. Rua should have avoided that one.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Papermouth throws a low kick but it's checked well by Rua.
Papermouth motions for Rua to come forward. Papermouth throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Rua blocks a leg kick.
Rua blocks a head kick by Papermouth.
Papermouth stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Papermouth wants it to stay on the feet.

Papermouth fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Papermouth lands with a hook. Rua tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Papermouth stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Papermouth wants it to stay on the feet.
Rua shoots in looking for a takedown. Papermouth tries to sprawl out of it but Rua keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Papermouth manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Roger Papermouth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shogun Rua.
Papermouth is looking to chop away at Rua's legs.
Rua shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Papermouth pinned against the cage. Papermouth gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Papermouth steps in with a hook that catches Rua right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Papermouth follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Rua looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roger Papermouth!
An intense looking Roger Papermouth took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'I'm never scared when I'm out on the beat, and I'll tell you why. It's because I have the best darn team backing me up on those streets. Officers God and Jesus. I know that God protects me from all danger and that Jesus guides my bullets straight into the brains and lungs of lawless slime. BAM!'.
