Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Johsnon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Calvin Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Austin is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bodies (Drowning Pool). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johsnon fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ryan Johsnon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No luck for Johsnon with that takedown attempt. Johsnon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Austin scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Austin does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Johsnon tries for a takedown but Austin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Johsnon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Austin gets the takedown into side control. Austin in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Austin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johsnon keeps working. Austin tries to get to his feet but Johsnon is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Austin in his guard. Johsnon controls Austin momentarily but Austin frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johsnon keeping moving, preventing Austin from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Austin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Austin looking to sit in guard and control but Johsnon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Austin has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Johsnon has passed into side control.
Austin looks gassed! Austin tries to improve position but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Austin is trying to work for a sweep but Johsnon has mounted him! Austin is trying to escape the mount.
Johsnon has control of Austin's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Austin regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Johsnon looking to control but Austin is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Johsnon pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Austin holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Johsnon tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Johsnon trying to control but Austin is having none of it. Johsnon is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Austin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Johsnon thowing shots but they're missing. Johsnon looking to finish with strikes here!
Austin defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Johsnon. Johsnon takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Johsnon has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Calvin Austin will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Johsnon pushes Austin up against the cage in a clinch. Austin prevents a takedown attempt there.
Austin is working for takedown but Johsnon is calmly controlling the position for now. Johsnon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Austin attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Johsnon doesn't succeed with the takedown and Austin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Johsnon's guard. Johsnon is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Austin tries to free his leg and advance position but Johsnon is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johsnon controlling the position. Johsnon manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Austin tries to reverse the position but Johsnon maintains control. Austin is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Johsnon can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Austin is looking to escape. Austin is trying desperately to improve position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Johsnon moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Austin has worked his arm free - good work by Austin!
Johsnon is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Austin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Austin is trying to control Johsnon's posture but Johsnon avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johsnon stands up. Johsnon fails with the takedown and Austin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Johsnon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Austin sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Johsnon defending well though. Johsnon makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Johsnon. Calvin Austin has got the better of the ground game so far. Johsnon is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Johsnon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Austin's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johsnon stops Austin from standing up. Austin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johsnon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Austin tries to land a sweep but no joy. Austin wants to get back to his feet but Johsnon is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Austin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Johsnon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Calvin Austin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Austin gets the takedown into side control. Johsnon wants to get back to his feet but Austin drags him back down. Austin fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Johsnon is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Austin off and has taken his back! Austin looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Johsnon is riding his opponent, not letting Austin buck him off. Austin trying to control the hands but Johsnon won't let him. Austin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Johsnon looking for the RNC.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johsnon struggling to keep hold of the position.
Austin trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Good control from Johsnon. Johsnon missing with strikes from the back. You can see the frustration on Austin's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
