The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goffard misses with a series of wild punches.
Goffard rushes Damien and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Goffard fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Damien is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Goffard is trying to drag Damien to the mat but Damien just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Goffard should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Damien's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Goffard creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Damien prevents Goffard from breaking the clinch.
Goffard fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Damien lands with a light punch inside.
Goffard escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Goffard swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Damien lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
It looks like Nathan Goffard has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Goffard misses with a double jab.

Goffard connects with a good right hand that stumbles Damien. Damien circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Damien fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Goffard manages to avoid it.
Damien fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Goffard fails with the takedown.
Dez Damien has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nathan Goffard.
Damien slips a jab and a cross from Goffard.
Oooooh!!! Damien has knocked Goffard down with a huge combo! Damien steps away and waves a wobbly Goffard back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Goffard takes one on the button.

Goffard shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Damien sprawls well. Damien wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Goffard gets slowly back to his feet.
Goffard is still on wobbly legs! Can Damien finish him?
Goffard looks winded!
Damien connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Goffard covering up! Damien comes in with a big uppercut and Goffard goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Dez Damien!
