Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 27 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Flavio Sandoval!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sandoval takes one to the chin there.
Sandoval takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Gracie fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sandoval on the side of the head.
Gracie walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Gracie throws a body punch but Sandoval moves out of range.
Sandoval gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

and Gracie counters with a low kick, right behind Sandoval 's knee.

Gracie pivots, looking for a leg kick but Sandoval is out of range and Gracie settles back down.
Gracie walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Sandoval checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gracie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sandoval tries to reverse the position but Gracie maintains control.

Gracie feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sandovals jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
