PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jean Savic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fido Kahn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Savic comes to the cage accompanied by lighting. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jean Savic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fido Kahn!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kahn swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Savic counters with a body kick that stops Kahn in his tracks momentarily.

Savic closes the distance and pushes Kahn back into the cage.
Kahn avoiding damage as Savic throws knees to the body.
Savic is trying to drag Kahn to the mat but Kahn just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Kahn fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Savic trying to control the position but instead, Kahn has worked for underhooks and has pushed Savic into the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Kahn gets control of Savic's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kahn will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Savic not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kahn is on top in guard.

Savic lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Kahn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Savic sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kahn somewhat.
Savic goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Savic shoots in and drives through. Kahn sprawls well.
Savic leaves Kahn with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Savic throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Fido Kahn has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jean Savic is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

I would just about give that final round to Fido Kahn.
Well Savic has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
