Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Barry Chuckle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mahdi Makungu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Barry Chuckle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mahdi Makungu! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Damien Edna and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chuckle takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Makungu keeps the fight on the outside. Makungu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chuckle tries to avoid it but Makungu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chuckle to the ground. Chuckle escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A slapping body kick lands there for Chuckle. Chuckle pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Makungu fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Chuckle throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Makungu sees it coming and avoids it easily. Chuckle rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Makungu moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Chuckle tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Makungu paws at him with a jab and circles away. Chuckle misses with a two punch combination.
Makungu throws a combination that misses and Chuckle counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chuckle falls off balance throwing a combination
and Makungu counters with a nice double leg into side control. Chuckle won't be happy with that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Makungu is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Chuckle knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. You can see the frustration on Chuckle's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Makungu is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Chuckle is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Makungu tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chuckle is looking to reverse the position. Makungu is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Chuckle knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Makungu working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Makungu trying to control the position but Chuckle is working away. Chuckle can't do much from the bottom here. Makungu has an Americana. Chuckle didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Makungu is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Makungu hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Mahdi Makungu!
