Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ned Gein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ernest Herman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gein comes to the ring accompanied by 'Mama Said Knock You Out' by LL Cool J. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ned Gein! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ernest Herman! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Emerson Jorge and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Herman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gein manages to avoid it. Gein shoots in for a double leg but Herman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Gein tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Gein drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Gein advances to half guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Gein is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Herman is on top in guard.
Herman trying to control but Gein is working from the bottom. Gein will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Gein throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Gein had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Herman defends it easily. Herman makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Gein being controlled here, momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gein trying to control the position.
Herman preventing the sweep. Herman throwing strikes but missing. Herman pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gein is keeping the position for now. Gein avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Herman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gein swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gein is trying to keep Herman in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Herman postures up in Gein's guard and throws a big left but Gein blocks it. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gein is on top in guard.
Herman tries to land a sweep but no joy. Herman pulls Gein in close to prevent any damage. Gein is looking to work some ground and pound but Herman has wrist control. Gein preventing the sweep. Gein pushes down on Herman's leg and manages to get into half guard. Herman tries to roll over but Gein keeps him under control. Gein wants to pass to mount but Herman is defending the position. Gein is working for a submission of some sort.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gein is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Herman has managed to free his arm - good work. Gein is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Gein wants to pass the guard but Herman is defending well. Herman tries to roll over but Gein keeps him under control. Gein passes to full mount! Gein trying to control but Herman is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gein takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Herman trying to control but Gein is working from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gein is on top in guard.

Ned Gein dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Herman shoots in looking for a takedown but Gein manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Herman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Gein pivots, looking for a leg kick but Herman is out of range and Gein settles back down. Herman throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Herman misses with a leg kick. Herman checks a leg kick. Herman throws out a loose jab but Gein uses good head movement to avoid it. Gein attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Gein blocks a jab. Herman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gein swivels and escapes. Gein looking to score a takedown here. Herman is defending well but Gein drives through and ends up in Herman's guard. Herman keeping moving, preventing Gein from controlling successfully. Gein pushing down on Herman's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Gein is working for a submission of some sort.
Herman wants to improve his position but Gein is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gein is looking to advance position but Herman won't allow it. Herman tries to roll over but Gein keeps him under control. Gein is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Gein tries to pass to full mount but Herman defends it. Still in half guard, Gein seems content to control. Herman tries to get to full guard but Gein has control of the leg. Gein is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gein takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Herman tries to get to full guard but Gein has control of the leg. Gein looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Gein is trying to work for a kimura but Herman is defending well.
Gein is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Herman is in trouble now - Gein has advanced to mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gein trying to control but Herman is having none of it. Herman can't escape the position.

Herman is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Gein off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A lull in the action here.

Ned Gein dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Herman gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Gein counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Herman! Gein tries to advance to mount but Herman denies him. Gein working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. You can see the frustration on Herman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Herman is trying to improve his position. Gein is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Herman has escaped the position, nice work there. Gein thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gein tries for a kimura but Herman is defending well. Herman tries to improve position but can't. Herman manages to work his way to half guard, despite Gein's best efforts. Gein wants to control but Herman is keeping him busy. Herman moves into full guard.
Herman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gein is one step ahead there. Herman is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Herman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Herman keeping full guard, as Gein tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Herman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Gein regains full guard. Nicely done. Ned Gein is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Herman trying to control the position from guard on top but Gein is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Herman throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Herman stopping the sweep attempt from Gein. Gein looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Herman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gein bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Herman's guard.

Herman punching to the body, from the bottom. Ernest Herman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gein trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gein trying to control the position from guard on top but Herman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Herman wants to sweep but no luck. Ned Gein overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gein looking to pass the guard. Gein wants to control from the top but Herman keeps moving.

And that's the end of the fight! Ned Gein showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gein, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
