Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Ovaltrades! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Havas Mitautas! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ovaltrades pushes Mitautas up against the cage in a clinch. Ovaltrades has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mitautas after a bit of a struggle. Mitautas looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Ovaltrades is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Ovaltrades blocking some punches.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Mitautas. Ovaltrades drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Ovaltrades. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ovaltrades has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mitautas uses from the top position. Mitautas tries to free his leg and advance position but Ovaltrades is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ovaltrades had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mitautas defends it easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mitautas is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Ovaltrades has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Mitautas is looking to defend but Ovaltrades has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Mitautas! Ovaltrades pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Mitautas taps out and this one is all over!
