Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sean Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Schnee Wittchen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wittchen has chosen Can't be touched as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sean Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Schnee Wittchen! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wittchen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smith but Smith pushes him off and we're back to square one. Wittchen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wittchen throws a jab but it's blocked by Smith. Smith tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wittchen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Smith somewhat. Wittchen tries to land a leg kick but Smith saw it coming and moves away.
Wittchen throws the left hand but Smith avoids the punch easily. Smith clinches. Smith is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Wittchen can't fight it off and eventually Smith manages to take the fight to the floor. Wittchen looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Wittchen wants to stand and escape but Smith is having none of it. Smith scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smith throws a big elbow that misses. Wittchen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Smith is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Wittchen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Smith throwing strikes from guard but Wittchen blocks nicely. Wittchen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Smith lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wittchen swivels though and keeps the full guard. Smith throws a big elbow that misses.

Smith is working Wittchen over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Smith has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Smith throws a big right hand that misses. Wittchen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Smith postures up in Wittchen's guard and throws a big left but Wittchen blocks it. Smith will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Smith distracts Wittchen with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Smith wriggles free and stands up. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Smith throws an elbow but Wittchen slips to the side and avoids it well. An elbow from Smith crashes against the mat.

Wittchen is rocked! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Wittchen takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Wittchen is still in real trouble! Can Smith finish him? Smith scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Wittchen is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Smith can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sean Smith! Sean Smith decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
