Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Devile Mago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jo So (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Devile Mago!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jo So!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
So bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mago's head backwards.
Mago misses with a two punch combination.
Sloppy strikes from Mago. Those never looked like landing.

So closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mago to the mat! Mago manages to get full guard.
So postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

So stands up and waves to Mago to follow him.
So dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

So shoots in and gets a takedown into Mago's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
So trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
So showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jo So wasn't active enough on the ground.
Mago closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
So tries to clinch but Mago moves out of range.
Mago rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but So moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Devile Mago is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

So drives through with a takedown into guard.
So trying to control the position from guard on top but Mago is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mago is breathing heavily.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jo So hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Mago will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

So shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. So showed some decent athleticism there.
Mago on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jo So was stalling too much, according to the referee.
So fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

So has Mago up against the cage in a clinch.
So tries to break free but Mago pushes him back against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

So stands and steps away. Mago gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

So looking to score a takedown here. Mago is defending well but So drives through and ends up in Mago's guard.
Mago utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as So accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

So slips a jab and a cross from Mago.
So has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Mago throws a series of punches but So avoids them all with ease.
So pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Mago slaps away a takedown attempt from So, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Mago keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from So.
So shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mago defends it nicely.
Mago lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Mago circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mago throws a series of punches but So avoids them all with ease.

So shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
So seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mago does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

So lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by So.

Jo So comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well So has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
