Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josh Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dead Pool (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dead Pool looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dead Pool!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Miller shoots in and bounces Pool off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Pool has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Miller wants to control from the top but Pool keeps moving.
Miller would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Miller trying to control the position from guard on top but Pool is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pool is wriggling around but Miller manages to pass to half guard.
Miller works his way into side control.

Miller wants to control but Pool is keeping him busy.

Miller is trying to get an arm triangle but Pool is defending well.

Pool tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Miller wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Miller tries to advance to mount but Pool denies him.
Miller sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Pool is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Miller thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Pool is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Miller asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Pool looks winded!

Miller looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Pool is looking for a sweep.
Miller trying to control the action but Pool is working from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Miller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Miller is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pool knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Josh Miller wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Pool connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Miller shoots for a takedown but Pool saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Miller throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pool.
Pool fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Miller.

and Miller counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dead Pool seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pool throws a series of punches but Miller avoids them all with ease.
Pool throws a nice looking combination but Miller bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Pool throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Miller looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Pool!

Miller has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Miller dives in and grabs Pool's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pool pushes down on Miller's head and hops out.
Miller shoots for a double leg takedown but Pool sprawls well. He's pushed Miller's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Miller is looking to clinch but Pool is avoiding it.

Pool throws out a leg kick but Miller moves out of range and Pool only half commits.
Pool tries a head kick but it misses.
Nice shot lands for Pool.
Pool throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Pool misses with a two punch combination.
Josh Miller is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Miller closes the distance and clinches up with Pool, looking for a takedown. Miller pushes Pool against the cage but Pool circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Miller. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Miller shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pool but Pool pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A nice combination there by Pool.

Miller ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pool moves away.

Pool looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Miller.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pool is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Miller has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Miller wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pool, who protects the arm well.
Pool really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Miller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Miller will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Josh Miller just wasn't active enough.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Miller. Pool shrugs it off though.

Miller throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Pool tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Miller is in Pool's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miller wants to stand but Pool is controlling his posture from full guard.
Miller is pushing down on Pool's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pool is fighting to maintain full guard but Miller has managed to sneak the leg through.
Pool is not content to let Miller control the position.

Miller thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pool's head.
Miller wants to take a breather but Pool is having none of it.

Josh Miller overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Miller really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Poor strikes thrown by Miller there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Miller has control of Pool's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Pool regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Miller is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Pool to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Pool shrugs it off.

Miller is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Pool is surviving well by controlling Miller's body position as best he can.

Miller is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Pool has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Miller, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
