Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Menezes shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dolo's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Menezes stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Menezes gets a double leg takedown into Dolo's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dolo looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Menezes passes into half guard.

Menezes closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Menezes has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Menezes ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Menezes no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Dolo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Dolo throws a strike but Menezes rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Lolo Dolo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Menezes counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Dolo thinking.
Dolo lands a leg kick that knocks Menezes off balance momentarily.
A nice inside leg kick there by Dolo. That's going to slow Menezes down.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Crunch! Dolo slams his shin into Menezes's torso.

Dolo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Dolo tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Menezes presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Menezes has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Dolo has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Menezes is working for a rear naked choke. Dolo is not defending it well and Menezes has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Dolo refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Dolo's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
