Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yance Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Manoel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sackett might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sail. Manoel is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Hino do Flamengo. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

23 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Antonio Manoel! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Manoel misses with a body shot.
Manoel scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Manoel connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Manoel on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Manoel throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sackett on the side of the head.
It looks like Yance Sackett has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Jab from Manoel. Manoel scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Sackett uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Manoel.
Sackett moves out of range as Manoel strikes. Manoel throws a jab but it's blocked by Sackett. A bone on bone clash there as Manoel blocks the leg kick.
Manoel lands a leg kick that knocks Sackett off balance momentarily. Manoel throws a hook but Sackett blocks it. Manoel lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Sackett at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manoel scores with a hook to the body. Sackett takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Manoel ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Sloppy strikes from Manoel. Those never looked like landing. Jab from Manoel. Manoel misses the shot to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Manoel ducks under a wild hook from Sackett. Sackett doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Manoel lands a body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sackett throws a low kick, looking for Manoel's leg but Manoel calmly moves out of range. Sackett uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Manoel. Manoel looks to score with a jab to the body but Sackett is just out of range. Sackett dodges the punch combination from Manoel.
Manoel thows a body shot but no joy. Manoel tries a low kick but Sackett avoids it. Manoel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sackett ducks under a wild hook from Manoel. Manoel darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Manoel throws a leg kick but Sackett sees it coming and moves out of range. Antonio Manoel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Manoel lands a leg kick that knocks Sackett off balance momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Manoel throws a leg kick and Sackett counters with an inside leg kick. Manoel takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sackett uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Manoel. Good standup being displayed there by Sackett as he connects with a hook. Sackett moves out of range of the body kick. Sackett moves out of range of the strikes. Sackett throws out a leg kick but Manoel moves out of range and Sackett only half commits. Sackett dodges the punch combination from Manoel.

It looks like Antonio Manoel has been cut. A clash of legs there as Manoel blocks the low kick. A telegraphed right hand from Sackett misses the target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Manoel throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Manoel swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Manoel lands an overhand right. Sackett has Manoel up against the cage in a clinch.
Manoel blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Sackett lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Manoel throws a punch but it's blocked by Sackett. Sackett has had enough of the clinch but Manoel keeps him there for the moment. Sackett is trying to break the clinch but Manoel has him pressed against the cage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sackett doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Manoel has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Manoel misses with a body punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Antonio Manoel dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Manoel throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Sackett defending well as Manoel loads up on a big left hand. Manoel misses with a straight left. Sackett tries to bum rush Manoel with a series of wild strikes but Manoel uses good footwork to avoid the assault. The fighters circling - Manoel throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Manoel throws a jab when Sackett was well out of range. Sackett walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Manoel has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Manoel misses with a few strikes there.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sackett moves out of range of the body kick. Manoel checks the leg kick. Manoel dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sackett. That did some damage! Manoel misses with the combination.
Manoel feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sacketts jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Sackett thuds his shin into the meat of Manoel's side. Manoel staying out of range there. Sackett uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Manoel. Sackett scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Manoel slips a jab from Sackett. Manoel just misses with a punch to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A decent looking cross lands there for Sackett. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Manoel slips a straight right by Sackett. Manoel throws a lazy right hand but Sackett sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Sackett defending well as Manoel loads up on a big left hand. Sackett lands a nice hook to Manoel's body. Manoel takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Sackett avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Manoel avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Antonio Manoel seems to be getting the better of the standup. Manoel takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Manoel missing with a left hand there. and Sackett takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Manoel misses the shot to the body. Antonio Manoel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Manoel throws a body punch but Sackett moves out of range. A kick lands to the mid section there for Sackett. Manoel is breathing heavily. Sackett scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Manoel missing with a left hand there. Sackett was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Sackett fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Manoel has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Manoel takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Sackett avoids a kick to the body.
Sackett throws a nice inside leg kick. Sackett jabs Manoel right on the nose. Manoel blinks but takes it well. Nice straight punches there by Sackett. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Sackett. Sackett pounces like a tiger and cracks Manoel with a vicious hook! Manoel is down but not out! Sackett follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
