The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Malapitan.
Nice sprawl there from Blimm as Malapitan shoots in.
Malapitan with a poor takedown
and Blimm counters with a slapping leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raje Malapitan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Blimm forces Malapitan back against the cage and clinches.
Malapitan works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Blimm is trying to control the position but Malapitan postures up.
Malapitan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Malapitan won't allow Blimm to get back to his feet.
Malapitan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Malapitan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Blimm really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Malapitan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Malapitan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Malapitan wants to control from the top but Blimm keeps moving.
Malapitan drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Malapitan as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Blimm screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Malapitan! Nice submission victory there!
