Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dave Bower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sativa Sensei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bower's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, When I'm With You. Sensei comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Stevie Ray - Pride and Joy kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Sativa Sensei told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
30 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dave Bower! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sativa Sensei! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sensei defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bower. Sativa Sensei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sensei connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bower's hands. Sensei throws a head kick that misses and Bower counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sensei's guard now. Sensei is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bower throwing strikes from guard but Sensei blocks nicely. Bower wants to control from the top but Sensei keeps moving. Bower prevents Sensei from getting back to his feet. Sensei keeping moving, preventing Bower from controlling successfully. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bower throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sensei works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Bower lands a couple of elbows. Sensei is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bower is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bower stopping the sweep attempt from Sensei. Bower tries to free his leg and advance position but Sensei is retaining full guard. Sensei pushes Bower off and scrambles back to his feet.
Bower throws a body punch but Sensei moves out of range. Sensei throws a right hand that misses
and Bower counters with a nice uppercut. Bower avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bower. Sensei does a little dance to reset his feet. The fighters circle momentarily. Sensei darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. The fighters circling - Bower throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sensei scores with a hook to the body. Bower takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Sensei lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bower's sensitive parts. Bower throws a lazy right hand but Sensei sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bower avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Sensei moves out of range of the leg kick from Bower. Sensei is looking to score with low kicks. Bower misses with an attempted mid kick.
A cross from Sensei lands. Sensei clobbers Bower with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Bower throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Sensei connects with a body shot that sends Bower's belly button to the back. Bower avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bower connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Bower attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sensei tries a low kick but Bower avoids it. Bower walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Sensei lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Sensei just misses with a punch to the body.

Bower misses with a low kick as Sensei jumps back. Bower takes a swing at Sensei's ribcage but misses. A jab from Bower finds it's way through Sensei's defenses. Sensei pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bower is defended easily by Sensei. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bower has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sensei.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bower misses with a few strikes there.
Bower with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sensei to score with a decent uppercut. Sensei throws a head kick but Bower moves out of range.
Sensei connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Sensei throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Bower takes a swing at Sensei's ribcage but misses. Sensei rushes Bower and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Bower trying to stall but Sensei improves his position.
Bower throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Senseis head. Bower looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Bower trying to stall but Sensei improves his position.
Bower wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sensei has him pressed against the cage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A short left from Sensei. Bower is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Sensei pulls him back up using the underhooks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Bower. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bower misses with a hook from the clinch. Bower swings wildly with an uppercut but Sensei uses good head movement to avoid it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sativa Sensei dominated that round. That's time! Bower's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Bower tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sensei was well out of range. Poor timing from Bower. Sensei throws a body kick that misses. Bower looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sensei is fending him off so far but Bower persists. Nope, Sensei circles away and we're back to standing. Bower throws a leg kick that is checked and Sensei counters by moving into the clinch. Bower has Sensei pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sensei manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Sensei swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Sensei fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Bower breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bower motions for Sensei to come forward. Bower throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. The fighters circling - Sensei throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Bower throws a jab when Sensei was well out of range. Sensei tries to close the distance and clinch but Bower swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sensei feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bowers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
That's one minute gone in the round. Bower throws a hook to the side of Sensei's head but Sensei sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Sensei cracks Bower with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Sensei lands a slapping body shot.
A leg kick checked by Bower. Bower blocks a low kick nicely. A low kick from Bower misses and Sensei counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sensei. Sensei stalling the fight.
Bower is trying to break the clinch but Sensei is controlling him. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Sensei as Bower tries to tie him up. Bower misses with some punches.
Bower tries to stall but Sensei uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Bower prevents a body shot from Sensei. Bower goes for a takedown attempt but Sensei pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Bower. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bower thows a body shot but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sensei turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sensei lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. A head kick from Sensei lands but Bower takes it in his stride. Bower uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sensei.
A chopping leg kick lands by Sensei. Sensei slips a jab from Bower. Sensei is looking to slow Bower down with leg kicks. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sensei dodges the punch combination from Bower.
Bower tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Sensei lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bower at a distance.
Sensei connects with a body shot that sends Bower's belly button to the back. Bower takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Bower is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sensei connects with a body shot that sends Bower's belly button to the back. Oh Bower is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Sensei lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Sativa Sensei is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sensei throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Sensei throws a leg kick that misses. Sativa Sensei seems to be getting the better of the standup. Bower throws a shot from downtown. Sensei moves away and avoids it. Bower seems to have got his legs back now. The fighters circle momentarily. Sensei darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Sensei works the jab nicely. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Sensei.
This has been an exciting period of action! Sensei ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Sensei swings for the body but Bower moves out of range.
Bower takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bower getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Bower has a takedown stuffed. Sensei paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Sensei thows a body shot but no joy. Sensei lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Sensei drops Bower with a huge uppercut! Bower drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Sensei is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sativa Sensei! Sativa Sensei is the new welterweight champion! After winning the bout, Sativa Sensei thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
