Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Salath Sar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taylor comes to the cage accompanied by Miseria Cantare - The Beginning. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Taylor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Salath Sar! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sar throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Taylor tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sar is in Taylor's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Sar sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Taylor's guard. Sar tries to pass the half guard into mount. Taylor knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Taylor regains full guard. Nicely done. Sar thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Taylor looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sar wants to pass the guard but Taylor is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sar sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. Taylor slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sar's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sar is looking for a triangle but Taylor pushes his legs off easily.
Sar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Taylor can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Taylor trying to control but Sar is working from the bottom. Sar bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Taylor's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Salath Sar dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Taylor lands with a nice combination. Sar backs away looking to recover. Sar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Taylor tries to avoid it but Sar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Taylor to the ground. Taylor escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Sar fails with the takedown. Taylor bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sar's head backwards. Taylor comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Taylor dips to his left and cracks Sar with an uppercut!
It looks like Salath Sar has been cut. Taylor lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Taylor looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Taylor throws a right hand that Sar ducks under and follows up with a left that Sar also avoids with ease. Sar uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Taylor has time to react. Taylor jabs at Sar's body. Taylor throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Taylor slips under a jab. Sar uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Taylor. Sar takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sar. Jake Taylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Salath Sar. A jab from Taylor does it's job there. Sar fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Sar is breathing heavily. Sar misses with an uppercut. Sar is rocked! Sar closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sar prevents Taylor from improving his position. Taylor trying to hold on to Sar's head to control him but Sar postures up.
Sar is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Taylor defends it well. Taylor is defending against the submission attempts here by Sar.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sar not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Sar is trying to work for a kimura but Taylor is defending well.
Taylor gets back to full guard.
Sar is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Taylor is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Taylor has escaped and now he's on top! Taylor avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Taylor can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sar is looking to escape. Taylor prevents Sar from getting the reversal. Taylor wants to control the pace but Sar is squirming around nicely. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Taylor controlling the pace for now. Sar can't escape the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Taylor controlling from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Taylor fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sar looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Jake Taylor is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Taylor digs a good hook to Sar's body.

Taylor moves into range and connects with a jab. Taylor feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sars jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Taylor lands a left and a right that send Sar crashing to the mat, dazed. Taylor thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Sar is still on wobbly legs! Can Taylor finish him? The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Taylor throws a right and a left that both miss. Taylor misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sar throws a shot from downtown. Taylor moves away and avoids it. Sar seems to have recovered his senses. Sar shoots in looking for a takedown. Taylor tries to sprawl out of it but Sar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Taylor manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Sar takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Taylor throws a right and a left that Sar avoids nicely. Jake Taylor is winning the standup battle so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Good standup being displayed there by Taylor as he connects with a hook. Taylor throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sar. Sar throws a jab but it's blocked by Taylor. Sar takes one on the button. Taylor slips under a jab. Sar feints and as Taylor raises his hands in defense, Sar changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Taylor trying to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sar drops back, looking for a kneebar! Taylor looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Taylor looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Taylor! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sar is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Sar is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Taylor's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Taylor's back! Taylor tries to escape but Sar has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Sar is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
