Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terpila Othvatchik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gaius Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Vega lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Othvatchik circles away quickly and effectively.
Othvatchik dives in and grabs Vega's left leg, looking for a takedown. Vega pushes down on Othvatchik's head and hops out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vega throws a right and a left that Othvatchik avoids nicely.
Vega connects with a nice looking jab.

Vega stuffs the takedown attempt from Othvatchik. Othvatchik gets slowly back to his feet.
Othvatchik really is a fat lump.
Othvatchik walks into a jab.
Othvatchik is looking to clinch but Vega is avoiding it.

Vega scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Othvatchik doesn't seem bothered though.
Vega comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Othvatchik is trying hard to land a takedown here. Vega sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Othvatchik shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vega pinned against the cage. Vega gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Vega stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Vega fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Othvatchik shoots in looking for a takedown. Vega tries to sprawl out of it but Othvatchik keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vega manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gaius Vega dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Vega dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Othvatchik gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Vega's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Vega duly obliges.
Vega comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Othvatchik walks into a jab.
Othvatchik fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Vega avoids it really well and circles away.
Vega throws a good cross that connects.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
No joy there for Vega, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sloppy strikes from Vega. Those never looked like landing.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Vega swings for the body but Othvatchik moves out of range.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Othvatchik.
Vega ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Vega connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Othvatchik on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Vega works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Othvatchik takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Vega scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Othvatchik closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gaius Vega is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Othvatchik fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Vega is out of range.

Gaius Vega comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Vega has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
