PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Quispel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kim Jong Un (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jong Un comes into a darkened arena with his song building. DPRKorean National Anthem kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quispel tries to score with a low kick but Jong Un moves his leg out of the way.

Jong Un drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Jong Un tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Jong Un lands a decent elbow from side control.

Jong Un wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Quispel, who protects the arm well.
Quispel is trying to control Jong Un's posture but Jong Un avoids it.

Jong Un swings around for an armbar but Quispel sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Jong Un's guard.

Jong Un escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Quispel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Quispel controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Quispel wants to get up but he can't break Jong Un's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round but I would say that Ricky Quispel will probably get the nod.

Jong Un throws a strike but Quispel rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Quispel stands and steps away. Jong Un gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Quispel has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jong Un is proving hard to escape from.

Quispel gets to his feet. Jong Un looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Jong Un shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Quispel manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Jong Un sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Quispel's guard.

Quispel seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jong Un does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jong Un takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Quispel is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Jong Un has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Quispel is looking to defend but Jong Un has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Quispel! Jong Un pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Quispel taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Kim Jong Un!
After the fight, Kim Jong Un was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
