Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Benjamin Breaker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mishiriro Kawaguchi!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Breaker lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Kawaguchi should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Kawaguchi takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Breaker lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Breaker scores with a jab to the jaw.
Breaker lands the left hand.
Breaker with a nice cross.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Breaker connects with a jab.
Breaker lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.


Kawaguchi is rocked!
Breaker ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Kawaguchi is still on wobbly legs! Can Breaker finish him?
Breaker smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Benjamin Breaker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Breaker throws a low kick but Kawaguchi avoids it.
Kawaguchi seems to have recovered his senses.
Kawaguchi tries a head kick but it misses.
Kawaguchi slips a jab and a cross from Breaker.
Breaker throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kawaguchi on the side of the head.
Breaker throws a one two combo.
Breaker lands with a right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kawaguchi wants to land a leg kick but Breaker is out of range.
Breaker lands with an overhand left.
Breaker lands a jab.
Breaker cracks a nice hook into Kawaguchi's ribs.
Breaker swinging wildly here.
Kawaguchi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Breaker paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kawaguchi takes one on the button.
Kawaguchi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Breaker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kawaguchi somewhat.
Breaker lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Breaker.

Kawaguchi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kawaguchi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Breaker tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kawaguchi wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kawaguchi is staying tight to Breaker's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Kawaguchi trying to control the action but Breaker is working from the bottom.

Kawaguchi is trying to get an arm triangle but Breaker is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kawaguchi tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Kawaguchi tries to advance to mount but Breaker denies him.

Kawaguchi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Kawaguchi has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Breaker!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kawaguchi looking to control but Breaker is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Kawaguchi might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Breaker haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Breaker tries to control Kawaguchi's body but Kawaguchi pushes him off. Breaker squirms to his side and now Kawaguchi has his back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Benjamin Breaker dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Breaker scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kawaguchi doesn't seem bothered though.
Kawaguchi fails to land the takedown.
Breaker throws a good cross that connects.
Kawaguchi takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Breaker lands a glancing blow to the side of Kawaguchi's head.
Kawaguchi misses with a body shot.
Kawaguchi is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Benjamin Breaker is winning the standup battle so far.
Kawaguchi looks for a takedown but Breaker sprawls well.
Breaker lands with an uppercut that bounces Kawaguchi off the cage and back into range.

Breaker drops Kawaguchi with a beautiful combination! Kawaguchi stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Breaker is looking for the KO!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Breaker smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Breaker sends Kawaguchi crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Breaker is motioning to the referee to let Kawaguchi up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Kawaguchi tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Breaker counters with a big slam followed by a series of strikes - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Benjamin Breaker!
