The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fukuzawa scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Fukuzawa connects with a crisp jab.
Barbosa fails with the takedown
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Barbosa shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Fukuzawa makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Barbosa really felt that one!

Barbosa jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fukuzawa walks away with a smile on his face. Barbosa gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Fukuzawa moves into range and connects with a jab.
Fukuzawa leaves Barbosa with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Barbosa blocks a head kick by Fukuzawa.

Fukuzawa feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Barbosas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Barbosa shoots for a double leg takedown but Fukuzawa sprawls well. He's pushed Barbosa's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Barbosa. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

and Fukuzawa counters with a nice low kick that buckles Barbosa's knee momentarily.
Barbosa takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Fukuzawa lands a big head kick that sends Barbosa to the canvas! Fukuzawa follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Itagaki Fukuzawa! Itagaki Fukuzawa retains his featherweight title!
A very excited looking Itagaki Fukuzawa rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
