The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perrier works the jab nicely.
Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown. Perrier tries to sprawl out of it but Jackson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Perrier manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

It looks like Steven Jackson has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jackson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Perrier sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jackson somewhat.
Jackson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Perrier swivels and escapes.
Kurt Perrier has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steven Jackson.
Perrier lands a left and a right that send Jackson crashing to the mat, dazed. Perrier thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Jackson is rocked!
Perrier connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Jackson to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Perrier!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kurt Perrier!
Kurt Perrier decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
