Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Butter Bean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Death Row (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Row has chosen I Need Five as his entrance music. Death Row has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Butter Bean's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Butter Bean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Death Row!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bean doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Row counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Row moves nicely into side control.
Bean pushes Row away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Row gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Row creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bean sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Row is working Bean over with some ground and pound from side control.

Row thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Bean tries to escape but Row is in control.
Row lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Bean down.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Row lands a decent elbow from side control.
Bean wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Bean bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Row decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Row is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Row prevents Bean from standing back up.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Row lands a nice short elbow.
Row landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Row lands with a punch from half guard.

Bean has one foot on Row's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Bean bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Row's head backwards.
Bean tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Row was well out of range. Poor timing from Bean.
Bean lands a right hook to the body.

Bean gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bean is wriggling around but Row manages to pass to half guard.
Bean looks like he's trying to stand up.

Row prevents Bean from standing back up.

Row working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Row seems to be working for a kimura but Bean defends the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Row tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Row has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Row is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bean knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Row prevents Bean from escaping the position.
Row really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bean. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bean takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Bean is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Bean on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bean tries to escape but Row is in control.
Bean tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Can Bean hold on?! Row is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

Bean is rocked!

Row tightening his grip on Bean, looking for the choke.
Bean is trapped and Row is scoring with shots to the head and body.
Oh Bean is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Bean controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Bean seems to have got his legs back now.
Bean trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Row is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Bean up.
Row drops a couple of huge strikes from the back position and Bean is in real trouble here! Row lands more strikes and the referee has to step in to end the fight! Row is delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Death Row!
