Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Lim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chris Wayne looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Wayne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Lim! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Alyssa Summers and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Wayne enables Lim to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wayne manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Lim controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Wayne trying to keep a closed guard but Lim is proving a slippery customer.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Chris Wayne wasn't doing enough on the ground. A looping hook to the body misses from Wayne. Lim does a little dance to reset his feet. Lim throws a right hand that Wayne ducks under and follows up with a left that Wayne also avoids with ease. No joy there for Wayne, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lim tries to score with a low kick but Wayne moves his leg out of the way. Lim looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wayne is fending him off so far but Lim persists. Nope, Wayne circles away and we're back to standing. Lim tries to close the distance and clinch but Wayne swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Wayne tries to clinch up. Horrible takedown by Wayne or perhaps it was just good defense by Lim which made him look bad. Wayne is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lim throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Lim tries to clinch but Wayne moves out of range. Wayne fails with the takedown and Lim counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Wayne defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lim. Lim throws a nice looking combination but Wayne bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Wayne swats away the attempt to clinch by Lim. Wayne is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lim sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Wayne. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lim closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wayne to the mat! Wayne manages to get full guard. Wayne is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lim is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tom Lim. Wayne scores with a jab to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wayne shoots in and bounces Lim off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Lim seems keen to control Wayne's posture.

Wayne thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Lim wants to sweep here but Wayne controlling him for the moment. Lim has a closed guard, preventing Wayne from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lim wants to stand and escape but Wayne is having none of it. Lim wants to sweep but no luck. Wayne controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Tom Lim was stalling too much, according to the referee. Lim shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wayne but Wayne pushes him off and we're back to square one. Wayne clinches up with Lim and pushes him back against the cage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wayne prevents a takedown attempt there.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tom Lim dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Wayne bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. An elbow from Wayne crashes against the mat.
Lim struggling a bit here. Lim prevents Wayne from moving into mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wayne working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Lim is trying to improve his position. Wayne is looking to take a break and control but Lim is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wayne lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Lim down.

Wayne wants to get up but he can't break Lim's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Lim manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wayne manages to get himself to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lim trying to control the position from guard on top but Wayne is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wayne is trying to control the position but Lim postures up. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Wayne keeping moving, preventing Lim from controlling successfully. Lim got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wayne has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lim has managed to get both his arms back between Wayne's legs - danger averted. Lim showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Lim shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wayne as he jumps to the side. Wayne gets tackled into the cage by Lim. Lim maintains the clinch. Wayne decides to pull guard. Tom Lim has got the better of the ground game so far. Wayne has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lim can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wayne keeping moving, preventing Lim from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Chris Wayne will probably get the nod. That's time! Wayne's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Lim is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Wayne's half guard. Wayne is staying active underneath Lim, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Lim is looking for a kimura but Wayne is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lim to get the leverage. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lim thows a huge punch but Wayne dodges it nicely.

And that's the end of the fight! Tom Lim comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Lim has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
