Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yushin Ming (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eduardo Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yushin Ming!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eduardo Santos!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Joseph Jones and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos tries to clinch up

and Ming decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Santos's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Ming's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Santos is looking to stand up but Ming isn't so interested in that idea.
Ming is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Ming with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Ming chips away with some ground and pound.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Santos had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ming defends it easily.
Ming works over Santos with some ground and pound from guard.
Ming lands a couple of elbows.
Ming is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Ming postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.


Santos is rocked!
Santos has momentary wrist control but Ming slips an elbow through the middle.
Santos is still in real trouble! Can Ming finish him?
Ming keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Santos's head.

Ming postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Santos wants to stand and escape but Ming is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Santos is looking to stand up but Ming isn't so interested in that idea.

Ming postures up and lands a big shot to Santos's brow.

Santos working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ming doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ming manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Ming is working Santos over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ming really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Santos is working an open guard so Ming takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Eduardo Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santos is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ming dives in and grabs Santos's left leg, looking for a takedown. Santos pushes down on Ming's head and hops out.

Santos buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Ming chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Santos can pounce on him.
Santos tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Santos misses with a hook. Ming ducked under it nicely.

Ming shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Santos pinned against the cage. Santos gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A combination from Santos does no damage.

Ming gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ming tries to land knees in the clinch but Santos avoids the damage to the body.
Santos tries to break free but Ming pushes him back against the cage.

Santos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Santos shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Santos gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Ming trying to control the position from guard on top but Santos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Ming has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Santos throws a head kick but Ming moves out of range.

Ming has Santos pressed against the cage, preventing Santos from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Ming wants to take the fight to the mat but Santos manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Ming goes for a takedown attempt but Santos pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Ming takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Ming tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Santos paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ming looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Santos is fending him off so far but Ming persists. Nope, Santos circles away and we're back to standing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Santos explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Santos throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ming stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Santos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ming can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Santos manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ming manages to get himself to full guard.
Santos must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Santos is fighting to break Ming's control of his arms but Ming is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Ming pulls Santos in close to prevent any damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Santos is looking to work some ground and pound but Ming has wrist control.

Santos drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ming manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Santos has Ming in his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Yushin Ming will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Ming fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Santos, pushing him back against the cage.
Santos wants to get back to striking at distance but Ming won't allow it.

Ming turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Santos pushes Ming away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ming gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Ming works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Santos is looking to get back to his feet here but Ming is keeping cool and he's managed to take Santos's back.

Santos takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Ming is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Santos. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
Santos is trapped and Ming is scoring with shots to the head and body.

Ming throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Santos!

Ming is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Santos can do to turn this around?

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yushin Ming!
Yushin Ming tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
