Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Panos Tzimas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ahfa Hjda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tzimas moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Tzimas scores with a head kick.

Tzimas drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Tzimas wants to stand but Hjda has his arm trapped.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hjda sneaks back into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tzimas wants to free his trapped foot but Hjda is holding on for dear life with his legs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hjda moves into full guard.
Tzimas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hjda on the ground.
Tzimas has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hjda is proving hard to escape from.
Tzimas wants to pass the guard but Hjda is keeping the position.
Tzimas missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Tzimas trying to control the position from guard on top but Hjda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

We're going to have a standup here because Panos Tzimas wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Tzimas gets a takedown into half guard.
Hjda moves into full guard.
Tzimas is breathing heavily.

Hjda manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tzimas manages to get himself to full guard.
Tzimas can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hjda controls the pace.
Hjda stands and throws Tzimas's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Hjda content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Tzimas is not content to let Hjda control the position.

The referee asks Hjda politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Hjda prefers to stall for the moment though.
Hjda's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ahfa Hjda was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Hjda looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

That was a close round but I would say that Panos Tzimas will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Tzimas goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hjda rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Tzimas's guard! Nice work there by Hjda!
Ahfa Hjda has got the better of the ground game so far.
Tzimas is trying to keep Hjda in close.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Tzimas is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hjda seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
