Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rhys Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Gonna Fly Now-Bill Conti. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Rhys Evans! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson throws a combination that misses and Evans counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Evans. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Jackson managing to control the position. Evans works a leg free and moves into half guard. Jackson wants to control but Evans is keeping busy and won't allow it. Evans is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jackson defends it well. Jackson has hold of Evans's hands but Evans slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Evans wants to work for an arm triangle but Jackson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Jackson tries to roll over but Evans keeps him under control. Jackson is controlling Evans's trapped leg to prevent Evans from advancing to side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Evans is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Jackson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Evans. Evans drops an elbow to the side of Jackson's head. Evans looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Evans thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Evans lands strikes from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson wants to get back to his feet.
Evans passes the guard and advances to mount! Evans unloading with bombs! Jackson is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Evans postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jackson looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Evans cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Jackson is looking to get to half guard. Jackson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jackson tries to get out of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Evans with a couple of short strikes. Evans has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Evans is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Jackson is rocked! Evans is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Jackson has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Oh Jackson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Jackson takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Evans's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
