Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Graham May (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zach Randolph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Graham May!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zach Randolph!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randolph takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.


It looks like Graham May has been cut.
May shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
May avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
May dives in and grabs Randolph's left leg, looking for a takedown. Randolph pushes down on May's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Graham May. That's going to take a lot out of him.
May shoots in but no luck this time.

May closes the distance and clinches up with Randolph, looking for a takedown. May pushes Randolph against the cage but Randolph circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Randolph waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract May. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped May to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Randolph must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Randolph has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of May is proving hard to escape from.

May decides to stand up, so the ref orders Randolph to his feet.
Randolph throws a looping overhand right but May ducks down to avoid it.

The crowd cheers as Randolph lands an impressive looking overhand right. May doesn't seem phased though.
Randolph throws a hook to the side of May's head but May sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
May throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Randolph's waist but Randolph gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing May off to one side.

Graham May's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

May is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Randolph slaps away a takedown attempt from May, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Randolph stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Jeez, Graham May's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
May is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Randolph is trying to stand.

May can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Randolph is looking to escape.
May has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Randolph can do anything to dispel that myth.

May is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Randolph doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time May.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. May connects with a nice short shot to Randolph's temple.

Graham May overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

May working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Randolph looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by May! Submission of the night perhaps?
