Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Umberto Sotto Jr! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christopher Binse! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Binse takes a swing at Sotto Jr's ribcage but misses. Binse slips a jab from Sotto Jr. Sotto Jr takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Sotto Jr scores with a sloppy right hand. Binse should have avoided that one. Sotto Jr takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Binse scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Sotto Jr slips under a jab from Binse. Sotto Jr will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Binse thows a body kick. Sotto Jr tries to catch it but that hurt him. Sotto Jr connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Sotto Jr lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sotto Jr scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Binse lands a head kick. Sotto Jr smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Sotto Jr shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Binse keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Christopher Binse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Binse lands with an overhand left. Binse will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Binse looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Binse misses with a hook. Binse cracks Sotto Jr with a right hand to the side of the head. Binse shoots for a takedown but Sotto Jr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Umberto Sotto Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christopher Binse. Sotto Jr avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sotto Jr with a jab. Sotto Jr connects with a high kick. Binse throws a hook to the side of Sotto Jr's head but Sotto Jr sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Binse tries to land a leg kick but Sotto Jr saw it coming and moves away.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A telegraphed right hand from Sotto Jr misses the target. Binse avoids the body shot from Sotto Jr.

and Binse counters with a left to the body. Binse is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sotto Jr sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sotto Jr dips to his left and cracks Binse with an uppercut! Binse pivots, looking for a leg kick but Sotto Jr is out of range and Binse settles back down. Binse throws a nice outside leg kick. Sotto Jr throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Binse throws a low kick but Sotto Jr moves out of range easily. Binse buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Binse turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Sotto Jr swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Binse counters with a nice uppercut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Binse slips a jab from Sotto Jr. Binse connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Binse throws out a leg kick but Sotto Jr moves out of range and Binse only half commits. Sotto Jr connects with a right hand. Binse shakes it off. Binse throws a lazy uppercut
and Sotto Jr counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Sotto Jr throws a lazy uppercut
and Binse counters with an inside leg kick. Binse throws a head kick that Sotto Jr semi-blocks.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sotto Jr lands a head kick!
Binse lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Umberto Sotto Jr will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Sotto Jr connects with a good right hand that stumbles Binse. Binse circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Sotto Jr throws a body punch but Binse moves out of range. Sotto Jr throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Binse's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Sotto Jr dives in looking to finish as Binse flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Sotto Jr's strikes! Sotto Jr is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Binse's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Binse was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Umberto Sotto Jr! Umberto Sotto Jr is the new lightweight champion! After winning the bout, Umberto Sotto Jr thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
